Andrew Travis and Jane Marston set up Travis Marston & Co in 1982, having moved from York where they had
both worked for different firms and had specialised in litigation
and appearing in Court. Ruth Harbottle joined as a partner in 2002.
Andy Travis retired from the practice in May 2006

Jane Marston. Jane obtained her law degree at the University of Nottingham
before working in York for 5 years, where she specialised in
crime and family work.She now specialises in children law, mental health law and small business advice/property, as well as advising on Powers of Attorney, elderly client law, employment, drafting wills and Powers of Attorney. Jane is also a part time Judge of the Mental Health Review Tribunal. |

Ruth Harbottle.
Ruth obtained her law degree at University of Newcastle and
was a partner in the Newcastle firm of Hay and Kilner before
joining Travis Marston in 1998. Ruth is accredited by Resolution as a specialist in domestic violence and ancillary relief. Ruth specialises in family law, conveyancing, wills and probate. |

Rosemary Asquith
is our legal executive who has worked for us since 1992
as well as other firms in Yorkshire. Rosemary specialises in family law particularly relating to children and injunctions. She also advises on housing, welfare benefits, conveyancing and debt issues. |
